This holiday season, our club invites you to celebrate with an evening of poetry, film and guitar.  Jung Club member Tina Datsko, will read from her poetry collection, Spiraling to the Light, which touches on childhood, adulthood and the cycles of death and rebirth.  Stan DeWitt will accompany some of these poems with a series of newly composed guitar solos based on paintings by Frank Pooler.  Also, several short films directed by José Sánchez-H. will be shown.  Appetizers and holiday fare will be served.

 

Tina Datsko, MFA, MPW, is a poet and filmmaker based in Long Beach.  Her writing has received many awards, including fourteen Hopwood Awards, the Los Angeles Arts Council Award, and three Spirit Moondance Awards.  She and her husband, José Sánchez-H., PhD, have made short films and documentaries that have screened at international film festivals and aired on the Sundance Channel.  They often collaborate with musician and composer Stan DeWitt, MM.
